Pasta Zanmai

I'm a huge fan of Sushi Zanmai after my college friends brought me there after my summer class. I ordered a Salmon Don and immediately fell in love with it. Partly because it's cheap and filling but most of it is I'm a huge fan of raw salmon. It cant compete with those expensive Japanese restaurant but what you pay is what you get.

Last Saturday, mom sister and I went to Pasta Zanmai @ Midvalley to try out. The environment was okay and nice but I feel Sushi Zanmai's environment seems to be more cozy.

It starts with a picture of me. This is me smiling to have Jap pasta and of course I'm not paying for it..
Oh, so innocent..
The green tea comes with a flower teapot and a cup
If I'm not mistaken, RM3/pot

We ordered 2 pasta to share because 3 of us are very small eater. wtf

Chicken Teriyaki to Onsen Tamago
If you order set, it comes with a miso soup and salad
The pasta is tasted like heaven with the mixture of egg yolk
This is consider cheap RM19 ala carte and RM23 set
Bigger picture of it
Review on the pasta - I don't really like teriyaki sauce, in my opinion it don't goes well with the pasta at all. But the pasta is totally good with the egg yolk but it is very fattening.

My mom and sister was complaining too much that I took photos for too long. So the quality aint that good for the next dish.
Gyu Shabu no Gomadare Shitate
It's raw beef with sesame oil
RM26 ala carte and RM29 set

Review on pasta - This is so much better. I never thought the sesame oil mix with the pasta it could be that delicious. The tenderness of the beef is so soft! It's not those beef where you cant chew it at all. This is a must try if you are a beef lover!!

After the meal, we went to The Gardens to shop. The decor for CNY in Gardens is way much better than Midvalley in my opinion.
My mom and I

Before ending up, I must show you a ghostly photo..
Oh, so innocent..

actually pasta zenmai is the 'pirated version' of Pasta de Gohan, which is located in pyramid.

I just had pasta zenmai on new year's eve. and it's sux la. Pasta de Gohan better though the price is more expensive.

I ordered the...curry dunno chicken or beef omeltte rice, very watery and dun have much meat, not worth at all. You should try Pasta de Gohan! their manu got more choice..

if you are eating jap rice, you should try sushi zanmai at pyramid, the sifu there are more skilled than the gardens..
