Just a recap from October til December 2011

 

Bought a camera and thanks to my brother who brought it home from USA

My camera travel from China to USA then landed in Malaysia leh! wtf

The main purpose of buying this camera is for my graduation. My sister was in honeymoon and I couldn't borrow her digital camera. That's why I'm in need to buy a camera, if not, I would bought back a designer wallet wtf. This graduation trip really suck my bank account dry

It was a tight fight between Lumix GF3, NEX-C3 and Olympus Pen 2. Olympus was my first choice but it was out of my budget at that time. My brother suggested Sony because it was a very popular choice in USA. I had some bad experience using Sony camera and have low confidence on Sony. I used my friend's Lumix LX5 and fell in love for it. That's why I landed myself with GF3. I don't need a DSLR because I don't think I have time or interest to commit myself into learning photography. A budgeted Micro Four Third camera will be best choice for me. Intelligent Auto would solve all my problem but the quality is of course not as good as DSLR quality. But for the price I paid, I have no complains to it. Sometimes you need a super steady hand to take photos at low light and photo doesn't turn as sharp as DSLR. I am still so much to learn from this camera. Anyway, I named her as LULU.

Did my first manicure and pedicure ever in my life

I hated it because I was simply surrounded by rich tai tai and I am the youngest one there. I never love people to wash my legs or do my nails because I think those are for 'hamba' and I am not those people who treat people like that. Also, it is toooo luxurious and I think it is a waste of money. I could do my own nails well, so just color my own lar! I have to wash dishes, search through piles of files, wash my hair daily, my manicure could well maintain for 1 day maximum then color will started to chip off. So I don't see a point for spending money on my nails. There was one time I was shopping for shoes, a salesgirl tried to help me to wear heels and I told her not to, because this is not her job and I don't deserve that kind of service. Somemore the heels is only RM85, it's not like the shoes cost like RM8500!

So people will say, why I went for it? Well, I bought a coupon for my sister's wedding. I was too busy on that period and only find time to do during November. So this will be my first and last time to do manicure or pedicure unless for special events like brother or my wedding.

The bill came out for RM120 for 4 pax. We did not order that much food too! However the food and service is superb. No wonder my sister love to go to this restaurant so much! Nowadays Chinese restaurant are giving us superb service. Just like my recent visit to Din Tai Fung and Fong Lye, not only the food are satisfying, the service is more than I wish for. But some of the western fine dining restaurant I went to, the service was so poor that I wish to leave the restaurant immediately. But the food did the comeback. No matter how good is your food, the service sucks means you would not see me for the second round. For the amount I am paying, I expect good quality service and food. I think I watch too much Gordon Ramsay's show. But I worked and trained in a casual fine dining restaurant before, I shall know what kind of standard to expect for. I might set it to high because that's the way I used to treat my customers, of course I wanted to expect that kind of restaurant to me! 

Alright, end of complaining. Gotta go for jogging with Oily. Too much holiday = good food. It's time to keep fit for the coming CNY before I couldn't fit any of my clothes.
